When I talk about the importance of self-care, the top responses I hear, are: "I don't have time for that", or "I'm too busy".
On the surface, it may seem as if there just isn't the time to prioritise your self-care, but imagine if you could have an extra hour in the day and it be just for you - what would you do with it?
If we don't care for ourselves, eventually we reach a point where we become run-down and ill and it's at this point, that we are of little use to anyone.
Have you ever noticed that you can keep on going at full speed for a while, but the moment you stop, sickness strikes and wipes you out for days, maybe even weeks!?
An easy way to remedy this, is to create space to breathe and actively prioritise time just for you. It's not wrong, or selfish, or over-indulgent and in our fast-paced, often relentless world, I believe it's absolutely vital.
