Why Awareness Is The Key To Transformation

When J. came to see me, she was on the brink of burn-out.

She was juggling a demanding job, managing a team plus a heavy workload.

Her partner worked long hours and was often stressed and distracted, which left her responsible for everything at home.

She over committed to social things because she found it impossible to say no.

She was spinning ALL the plates and never had any time for herself.

She was so busy keeping everyone happy that she felt like she was losing control of her life.

Like she was constantly fighting fires and she could never stop.

She didn’t describe herself as stressed or anxious because to her “this was normal and just how life is”, but she often felt like it was all getting too much for her and she was drowning under the weight of everything.

She’d already tried lots of self-help books and none of them had helped, so at first, she was sceptical about working with a coach.

Deciding to make that investment in herself was a really big deal (this was a woman who gave to others, not to herself).

But during our sessions together, I showed her that life COULD be different, with just a few simple changes:

  1. She worked on the beliefs she had about her role in the world and changed them to be more empowering and supportive.

  2. She created space in her life for the things she loved doing and that felt energising - she prioritised them by letting go of the things she didn’t actually want to do.

  3. Using EFT we worked on calming her nervous system, so she could feel more relaxed and release the stress and tension she’d been carrying.

  4. She became aware of what was really important to her and was able to see where the imbalances were and what needed to change, so her life could feel more fulfilling and free.

Now she’s able to really enjoy her life and feel more relaxed.

She responds to work commitments and life demands with ease and grace and she really believes in herself and her ability to face anything that may come her way.

She values and prioritises time for herself and feels happy to give herself what she needs and as a result, her relationships have transformed.

As her message shows, when you start to have awareness, it can be a total game changer and once J. could see things clearly for herself, life transformed so quickly and in such a wonderful way for her, it was a total joy to watch.
